Our NARD Institute, Ltd. was established in 1972 by creating a new business model called research contract company in the field of chemistry. Since then, we have implemented and established this model in the industry. Based on the entrepreneurial-ship of respecting individual members, we have succeeded in creating a unique, corporate management technique, which has been continuously inherited, even after the 35 years of the Company’s history. Our open-minded and encouraging corporate culture and atmosphere have contributed to enhanced vigor at the actual working place of research, which has become a source of our company’s energy.
The business domain of our NARD Institute covers extensive fields of chemistry such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, chemistry of naturally-occurring substances, polymer chemistry, life science-related chemistry, etc.
With our strong commitments, we have been grappling with a variety of issues occurred in these fields, which have become bread and butter for our Company's growth. The numerous achievements of our research can be called a great asset for us.
We believe that our challenging spirit has been continuously opening up unknown areas, thus assisting the needs of clients who wish the dream coming true in the state-of-the art fields such as pharmaceuticals, electronic materials, automobile materials, bio-related materials, and so on.

NARD Institute has been actively involved in the two business domains, namely "synthesis of fine chemicals" and “development of functional materials". These two areas significantly characterize our Company. They organically function with each other, having a working environment enabling a series of research from basic synthesis to applied development.
In addition, as an extended division, we have a sister company called NARD Chemicals, Ltd. where the production system conforming to GMP standard and the quality assurance system of ISO 9001 have been established, forming a structure, in which a comprehensive system all through from research to production has been put in order.
Based on our technology that has been cultivated for long years in contract research, we have taken a further step to organize a system, under which our own branded products and technology can be developed.
Also we have structured the ISO 14001 Environment Management System, with the aim of actively promoting the protection of earth environment through our research activities.

In spite of the fact that there are various issues to be solved in the life science area, earth environment area, etc. in the present society, we have determined to contribute to the society through incessant research activities in the future as well, under our conviction that technology in chemistry will be able to solve and overcome these difficult issues.
