NARD Institute, Ltd. is a company offering the services of contract research. The created research results extensively contribute to the cultural life of the human, and the ingredients or manufacturing processes determined through the research are destined to impose definite restrictions on the environmental influence of the products. That is the reason why, along with seeking much more effective outputs and without disregarding the consideration directed to the global environment, we have decided to set up this environment policy, and will strive for its realization by concentrating our wisdom and expertise.

1.	We will build up the environmental management system to assume our social responsibility for protecting the global environment, and will promote its implementation and continuous improvement under the participation of all our employees.
2.	We will act as an active promoter for protection of global environment by way of contriving the following research services, taking the environment into better consideration:
·Study to reduce the substances causing environmental stresses ·Study to substitute the products having a high degree of environ-mental stresses ·Study to reduce environmental stresses in manufacturing process ·Resource-saving in manufacturing process ·Study to attempt energy-saving
3.	We will abide by all the applicable legal requirement and all the standards, to which we will consent, in relation to the environmental aspects for preventing environmental contamination.
4.	We will strive for reduction of waste materials and for realization of energy-saving, with the purpose of protecting the limited, natural resources and maintaining the rich, natural environment.
5.	To fulfill these responsibilities, we will spare no effort to make this policy known to all our employees, and at the same time we will make every effort in education and enlightenment aiming at qualitative improvement of environmental activities.
This basic environmental policy will be publicly known not only in Japan, but also abroad.
